Çalıştırdığı son iki takımı da şampiyon yapmasına karşın -Marsilya'nın bitime 5 kala şampiyonluğu vermesi biraz zor olur- sözleşmesinin yenilenmemesi ve ayrılmak zorunda bırakılması. Dün düzenlediği basın toplantısında sezon sonunda kulüpten ayrılacağını açıkladı Belçikalı. Kararı Toulouse maçı sonrası açıklayacakmış ama 1 hafta erkene çekmeye karar vermiş. Basın toplantısı sonrası OM'in televizyonuna da konuşmuş Gerets ve röportaj sırasında pişmanlıklarınız oldu mu sorusuna da ilginç bir yanıt vermiş...
